I am still pretty new to this site but not SEO in general. Anyway, this is the first place I heard about posting on wikis.

When I think of a wiki, I think of Wikipedia and the entries there. Is building wiki links like that or is it like building article marketing?

Any information on this topic would be great including where I can find wiki's to post to.

    Thanks in advance!

    Home Page:
Wiki links are nofollow so they don't pass on the link juice

Wiki Links are the best solution if you use it as a link juice as well as to make the mixture of do-follow and no-follow.

Yep, I already did that. People talk about it, but not what exactly it is with examples. I asked a pretty direct question in my OP, "When I think of a wiki, I think of Wikipedia and the entries there. Is building wiki links like that or is it like building article marketing?" That question is not answered in any thread on here that I can find.

    Thanks for the help!

    OK
Basically there's 2 forms of "wikilinks" described here on this forum.

The first is the wikipedia type sites - which are no follow - but which also can carry some good authority if you can get your link to stick.
The second are the Mac OS wiki's or blogs. This is what people are referring to when talking about "edu wiki's". These are do follow, but it is debateable whether they carry much weight or not. Some people love them - I personally don't really think the effort is worth it as they seem to get closed down pretty regularly. Also other BHer's out there can steal your links. This is the main reason I gave up on them.

    OP - check yr PM
