Hi all just wondered what you all think about .info domains. I just been watching Howies Pool Party and there's a real interesting video about autoblogs. Anyway this guy some pal of Howies said he never used Blogger etc or even really web 2.0 stuff just loads of .info sites amongst others. He buys 'em 50 at a time he reckoned if you own the sites you can do what ya want even have ads on etc. Basically I want to get some cos you can buy like 10 .infos for 10 dollars at Godaddy you also get free privacy on more than five.I will use 'em to point at my main site and to do a few other bits and pieces I want to have a cheap try out at.
So load of crap or what? Have any of youse ranked with .infos or are they a total waste of time? Any input appreciated

don't forget the cheap .info prices are just for 1 year after that it increases, and lets say you plan to put adsense on your bligs you have to wait 6 months so it wont end up so cheap after all for you.

Right enough mate but I am totally penniless trying to build an empire on a giro ( Unemployment Benefit) lol.

If you're penniless and want to earn fast, I would recomend you getting into CPA instead (or e-whoring). Auto-blogs take some time to get the return, (and you can see yourslef shut down/banned) it's not as easy as saying: buy 50 .infos, put adsense on them.

I have ranked .infos. Also if you type "spain" in google you will see a .info ranking in the 1-2 spot.

I use .info's for authority sites pointing to my main. As I look at it
if it's a .info it better have some info on it.

Why wait for 6 months for Adsense ?

.infos work for autoblogs, no problem, and are great for testing niches. Set a few up, test some niches, don't renew the ones that didn't make it.

I have no idea, but you can get verified in http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/adsense/95256-get-adsense-account-6-hours-flat.html, though almost all of the time it will take less than a week. Six months to post their ads on your website would make no sense.

Def does not take six months to start adding adsense. That is just silly. You just have to have a decent ammount of content to get the ads to show. Also at least Some Traffic but minimal.

Sorry if off topic just wanted to clarify

.infos would be good fake websites to use for CPA though. That Way after a year it wont matter and you could just toss them. Although you could just do subs on a .com also.

I repeat .info domains are just as good as .coms the TLD's do not matter. i have 10 .infos ranked number 1 throughout google. The only problem with them it that people/users perceive them to have less value. so if you have domainkeyword.com and domainkeyword.info more than likely the user will click on the .com. but as far as ranking goes if you can get the top spots then it doesnt really matter

Nice thanks all. I am not bothered if these are disposable sites I need to get things up and running and use them to build links for my authority site and various things. They are just so cheap in comparison to other domains and hey if they are making me cash hopefully the renewal fees will not be a massive problem.
I am really trying to work to a very focussd plan as I have shit self-discipline and get bored. Am trying to set upa linkwheel.
Slightly off topis but can anyone suggest a 'must have ebook on auto-blogging. \
