I'm starting to think that info domains cant do as well as coms and net.

one of my micro niche sites that uses .info is about 7 months old is struggling.
g00gle will rank it at number 3 for its main keywords and then a few days later it drops right out. I have checked its position once when this happened and it was ranked at about 900.

I have a good mix of backlinks up to pr4 and am being beaten by the .net version of my domain name that only has 2 inlinks.
When my site comes back to the front it always out ranks my competition. Then it drops again, but they rarely change position.

I just wish i new if it was the .info domain, or if i am doing something that is upsetting almighty G

I'm not as experienced as some of the SEO experts here, however I can tell you that your problem is not because it is a .info. Have you been doing any BH techniques lately? Also, google has been doing this to many people, there are many variables as to why. Please explain what techniques you are doing to obtain backlinks and maybe I can help.

I started off very slowly with backlinking (i am good at web design, but have just been getting into making money online in the last year).
Backlinks started with articles to ezine, blog commenting and the usual bookmarking, some links from place like blogger and others, also edu links.

I have now started doing angela type links (on all my sites) with sites that i find myself.
This type of link i have been doing a lot over the last month, but the g00gle bouncing started before them.

Also , no black hat because they are all adsense sites.

You are probably right about it not being .info, because i have others that dont jump around like that.....Just that the .com sites i have are a lot more stable in rankings.

There was probably something i was doing wrong when i started off backlinking that caused it, so hopefully if i just keep getting higher pr links it will sort itself out.

Its just annoying, because when ranking on the front page this site normally makes at least $15 a day..

.info domains are as good for SEO with Google as any other domain name extension; it's been proven so many times...
