Is it hard to rank an .info domain , is it similar to other domains if the competition is less

Soon this thread will be filled with haters and lovers claiming that they are 100% sure .info domains will/won't rank in search engines. My opinion is that they can be ranked but not nearly as easily as with .com or .net.. I'm actually going to have a really big test done soon since I've bought over 100 Exact Match .info's from various niches and if anything I will prove myself if they can be ranked or not!

One of my .info's gets 1 million global searches per month (exact match) and I have numerous with xxx'xxx and xx'xxx searches so I would say that they are great domains. Some are with high competition and some with low so I guess that my test will be pretty wide and objective. If you are interested I can provide you with a high CPC/high search volume keyword with an available .info so you can test it yourself! Pm me if interested.

Rank .com domain is much easier than .info. Honestly I can't understand that fact...

I only have limited experience with .info's. I only have a handful of them, but from my experience they are more difficult to rank than .com's. However, I have one .info for a low comp keyword that I had no problem ranking.

Get the .com/net/org if available. If not, use info or find another kw... When life gives you lemmons, make lemonade. Or throw them out the window and get yourself a beer.

infos seem to rank almost as easy as any other domain but I find it hard to keep the position. .com can easily knock you out. I think you will be better with non emd.com rather than .info. Try adding some letter at the end of the domain and get the .com. For example yourkeywordi.com. These rank good for me.

.com or .net is easily accepted by everyone, you have to give that type of domain but still in some sites i can also see .info.

Ranking .info domains is a biatch but its doable and it also depends on the type of competition.

In my experience there's no difference. I don't know why anyone would think otherwise.

In my exp. ranking .info site is the same like ranking .com site.

I have ranked fansites of famous celebrities with EMD .info domains (as .com is mostly their official site) and almost always got great results.
