Bought few keyword based domain names mainly health based niches with info exts

example : weightloss*** d0t info

Even the suffixes are meaningfully related to the keywords.

Need clarifications regarding SEO, Ranking of the website compared to com / net/ org and Monetization methods - Adsense / CPA

i personally think they behave just like com net etc.
But some guys said Google dont respect info domains.

They do not get the same respect as com/net/org, but if properly SEO'd, promoted, and managed, they can rank. .info's are a gateway drug to the better TLD's.

There will be no ranking variations between .com, info,cc, etc... in terms of SEO.
But in other hand TLD's like .co.uk rank well in UK(geographic) and co.ca rank well in Canada.

I agree with Gregstereo. They are a good way to get your feet wet. My first couple of batches of autoblogs were .info domains and I rank on the first page for several keywords on some of them. But then I started buying .com domains as I had some cash flow.

One thing I've seen discussed before is that for the general public, no one is going to remember .info. In the U.S. everyone is trained to think .com, so if you had a domain named redrubberball.info, they are going to think redrubberball.com and that's what they would type if they were trying to go directly to your site.

I agree with Scorpionking that tld's related to countries can sometimes work better in the goegraphical location rather than a dot c0m

I have found personally info sites can rank just as well if the on and off site seo is good.

Saying all that if you keep an eye out for companies special offers you can get .c0m's for cheap money at certain times.

Finally there is some thought that paying for more than 1 year at a time can give credability although this is not something I can atest to.

.info is beneficial if your on a budget and have a boat load of autoblogs but .com is most definitely the way to go if you can afford it.

If you have a site that is very geo-centric, a ccTLD like .ca or .co.uk can be very beneficial. Though even then, if the .com is available I would get it as well and 301 the .com to the ccTLD (or vice versa for some A/B testing).

As for paying for more than 1 year at a time boosting your name's ranking, my opinion is that is hype from registrars who want you to lock in a name with them to increase their revenue and portfolio size. Big G puts much more weight on the age of the domain to date than its potential future age from what I've seen.

i had ranked about 28 .info's in first 5 rankings till yesterday.
so yes they can be ranked.

.info can rank. I have 10 sites already ranking in google frontpage, outranking .com and other sites. The only thing that matters to google is the domain name and its relevance to the keyword you want to rank for, not the domain extension!
