If you want to rank over another domain you will need to give more effort regardless of whether your domain is .com,.org, .info, etc
There are many .infos ranking over other tlds. Example type "spain" in google and you will see a .info in second place after wikipedia.
Yes, they can definitely overcome COM or ORG domain but i'm not sure about the more effort part.
INFO domains are cheap and some people just buy them to spam, so, probably google does not like it so much
but they also have a LOT OF LINKS!
info can rank on page 1 but do require a bit more effort
you will see a lot of .info on page 1 but they usually have a lot of links
i have seen many .com/.net on page 1 with hardly ANY LINKS!
On effort part, what sort of effort are you talking about? If you've good volume and quality of content, you'll rank - may it be info or com... Backlinks do matter but content is king as they say.
I would like to try!
content is a joke
you dont need content to rank
title tags is more important than content
and backlinks is worth more than those 2 put together
you got it backwards
with tons of backlinks and unique content, blackhat tools, yes you can
I have outranked my .com site with .info targetting the same keyword. So I guess my answer is YES.
Same here! Yes.
I think your right about the content stuff its bs, i have some .infos on the first page for my keyword term, but title tag and backlinks mean more, google really do make it hard to rank for a .info and thats why .com or org rank quicker, but in the long run you'll have to build you backlinks to stay there. theres just to much bs flying around about pr, backlings from a range of ip address is what counts, and the content thing is crap because i've seen sites with under 50 words ranking on a .co .org and net so if it was about content then these sites just would not be there, check out this term and look at this site "womens snowboard pants" the site is womenssnowboardpants.net and tell me now its content that matters?
Separate names with a comma.
