Hi everyone, I started my digital journey about a decade ago and founded a company that was acquired by a Canadian public company. I won't go into details but that journey is coming to a close due to that public company falling off of Nasdaq. Anyway, I'm excited to be a part of BHW and continue learning from all of you great people!

Built a network and entourage you can re-reach?
I also had parts of a canadian media company, sold my shares and quit. Moved on. Made a career.

Sure, so basically I build a tech startup that was struggling in the beginning but really benefited from Covid. Through my network I was able to find a public Canadian company that was interested in acquiring us. We went back and forth for about a year negotiating the agreement but as this was all happening, Covid was receding and our accelerated growth was beginning to plateau. They gave us a six figure investment to continue growing as we were negotiating but we found out that the company was struggling and many of the other startups they had acquired had not receiving their funding. This was really worrisome for us, so we negotiated a bit harder in our deal. Then one day they stopped replying and we read in the news that they were at risk of being delisted from Nasdaq for falling under $1/share price. They held off being delisted for another six months or so but they finally were taken off and I read there has been massive changes at the company and now I don't even have a contact with them anymore. Just goes to show how quickly things can shift and how even public companies are at risk.
