Never been to US but what they serve here in Europe is different than what we eat back home. Food in Europe has more cream while back home it's different. Btw next time try eating jalfrezi or a simple masala dosa.
You get great American Indian and American Chinese food in the US. Same for Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, etc. It's the American version of the real thing.
I love South Indian food..Masala dosa, Uttapam and of course I like the North Indian dishes too specially the Chicken Handi - the taste is obviously not same as what we get in India..btw, I m residing in Jakarta.. and not US..never been there yet.. but planning to visit 1 day..very soon...
although this thread is abt Indian food in US, could not resist to comment as I love Indian food..
