Yes, Indian government also requested and give order to bhel company (bharat heavy electrical limited) for 40k ventilators and other ppe.
The cost of each ventilator is 5 to 7 lakhs inr.
That is around only 2k crore only of ventilator cost 's.

I appreciate kerala govt( iam not from kerala) for acting very wisely they made prisoners to stich the masks and PPE and Tamilnadu also worked great in controlling if they could have provided masks for health care workers it would be great,thats the lacking part from their side.
Kudos to central govt for announcing the lockdown for 21 days but some state govts acting stupid mass gathering poojas .
We should fight this enemy together hope after couple of months we all meet in this same thread (hopefully everyone is alive).

Glad that indian govt atlast understood the importance of modern modern if they could have spent decently on modern medicine then promoting quakcs we would have had better infrastrcture .
Till the starting of this month it was a common mindset in india including the govt to bash modern medicine and call it illuminati and drinking random herbs are enough and none bothered when medical professionals got attacked all of sudden now they want someone to save them with no equipments and ready to die for them,those who made money by selling herbs and random shit now went home and resting those who got bashed by them doctors ,nurses all those who belong to modern medicine now risking their life to save people hope one day peopel will understand the value of Health care like cuba .
