Actually, I am thinking of selling something like "indexing" service on fiverr. So I wanted to ask someone who knows better than me if this works or not.
And what's the technique behind it...

Yes, it works. You can use multiple sites for pinging and also the chances increase if you submit sitemap in google webmaster tools

but the sitemap only the website owner can submit, right?

Does it index or not?
If you can't index you will get 1 star reviews.

You can check the percent of indexation , try to index more than 60% of time , if you wanna sell a indexing service.
But overall nice share.

I have a couple of links to test this tool. I will let you know if it works for me.

Not a good idea if you don't know what you're doing.

The idea of pinging is to notify google bots to visit your link if it's worthy enough to get indexed or ranked. Pinging usually works better for high authority sites simply because they're visited by google bots on a daily basis.

Agreed, small tools have same ping tool:

What op need to figure out is how indexing services like speedinks, indexification work.
I know they all start by pinging the links.

I agree:)
Thats why I am trying to learn more.
As I understand this is some sort of special "SEO" pinging not just the basic TCP/IP pinging:)

As I can see from the above website logs it has to do something with these kinds of URLs "blogsearch.google.com/ping/RPC2"
By manually following this URLs I didn't find anything, was just redirected to google search.
SO whats the engine behind this indexing tool? What exactly it is pinging?
