social media shares seems to be the thing that is working these days. make life easier on yourself: install add-to-any plugin in firefox and put aged social media accounts in that tool, and then share your pages across all of those platforms.
also give postcron free option a try. that works as well.

I use to post the new backlinks on the Twitter and getting them indexed within a week. Most of the time when I do Web 2.0 I use to post the URL on the Twitter and it is working for me so far. I suggest you to try that once and share your output here.
