This is a text de-index penalty, google flagged your content as spam, duplicate, or low-quality, so the text pages were removed, but your images stayed in image search, it usually happens with mass ai or scraped content, to fix it, delete the bad content, add real unique articles, and submit a validate fix in search console.

Try searching for your indexed pages using site:example.com dork. If the pages appear, then it's not a penalty but a restriction on ranking due to low authority or unhelpful content. You can push it a little with quality backlinks.

Yes, this is quite common. It usually means Google has indexed your site but doesn’t yet fully trust it for web results. This often happens with new domains, weak or thin homepage content, or poor brand optimization. Strengthen your homepage for the brand name, add trust pages (About, Contact, Privacy), and check Search Console for issues. Over time, it should move from Images to the main “All” results.
the domain is indexed but the funny thing is when i look at the search console querry, i got another keyword which is within the domain article topic and sometimes another brand too but never my own brand i want to appear..

Yeah,,, I have seen this a few times , usually it means google trusts your images more than your pages , often due to weak text content, thin brand signals or indexing confusion.
Check that your main pages are properly indexed - not noindex , improve on-page text and internal links and make sure your brand name is clearly mentioned across the site and few external mentions too.
