In my experience, indexing is often overlooked but it plays a critical role. A backlink or page can only contribute value once it’s properly indexed and recognized by search engines.

Without indexing, even high-quality links may not have any real impact. Making sure important pages and links get discovered and indexed should definitely be part of the overall SEO process.

Agreed! If a page isn’t indexed, the link is basically useless. I usually check indexing right after publishing and keep an eye on the site’s crawl frequency

I always check the domain's recent indexing history before buying any placement. If their new posts aren't hitting the index within a few days, the link juice won't matter much anyway. It is a waste of budget otherwise.

I think this is quite literally irrelevant.

If a guest post doesn't index then it means that either:
- Website is penalized (So doesn't matter if it gets indexed or not)
- Website has literally no authority to the point that Google doesn't care about it enough to crawl it properly and index its pages (So guest post will be so weak it's kinda irrelevant if its indexed or not)

Everything gets indexed eventually unless it's one of the two options above.

The best way to go about it is type site:domain.com {keyword}. For instance, site:blogspot.com bitcoin returns tons of results. Google is actually indexing them, so you should be able to do the same.

Another example, if you're in iCopify and looking for domains to submit guest blog posts to, you would first see whether the domain is well indexed (10 pages of index in Google). Spoiler alert, nearly all the cheaper ones aren't. Next, type the site:domain.com {keyword} and see how many pages they have indexed. If the guest blog post website has many pages indexed for your niche, and it appears they are able to index all the articles they are submitted, then it is a good domain for getting a link from.

A website with good content and stable traffic will definitely be indexed by Google very quickly. Focus more on developing your website, indexing will happen naturally if the website is well developed.
