Indexing Confusion

Hi Team

I am following a soft silo on my website
1 - do I need to no index to my about us , disclaimer, and privacy policy
2 - As I am following a soft silo structure do I need to index or noindex categories

1 - I never noindex "About us" page, but I do noindex the legal pages (disclaimer, privacy, ToS, etc)

2 - it depends on the categories... actually, it depends on your site's structure (I don't know what you mean by "soft silo" by the way, so if you can explain this I might be able to tell you what to do with those categories)

Just no index privacy policy and you're good to go

1. No. In my opinion, those pages uphold your legitimacy. I fill out full author pages, about us, disclaimers, privacy policy, everything. Though, I've no indexed the privacy policy and kept it in the main menu so it's readily apparent for Adsense.

2. It really depends on your sites niche and the relevance to what you're targeting. With the current phrasing of your question, I would say index them.
