Indexing A Large Directory

I am working on a LARGE people directory on a fresh domain and would love any thoughts/tips/tricks to get pages indexed by Google quickly?

If your directory is large , you can try breaking it down to smaller , you can submit the sitemaps Individually which helps Google to discover and Index
the pages quickly and also large directories will have more pages so optimize the loading speed of your pages

Ensure that your robots.txt file allows search engine crawlers to access and index the relevant sections of your website. Implement schema markup, especially if your people directory includes structured data.

I have a large directory too with 1000+ pages but so far after 2 months only 7-8 pages are indexed

To accelerate the indexation of this large website, you can:
- backlink the site using backlinks to direct indexing bots - but here, too, it is worth taking care of the "quality" of these backlinks , so as not to harm the domain
- add the site to GSC and then: submit the sitemap xml (also feed rss if there is one) in the Site Maps section, check a few url's in GSC and ask for indexing
- link in the footer sitemap.xml and site map in html format, then link the main page with backlinks

Also take care of good internal linking.
