Indexed for mysite.com but not www.mysite.com?

Hey there guys,

So I was playing around with scrapebox the other day and I noticed it said that my site was not indexed. I thought it was just a problem with SB, because I had submitted to Google and set up my webmaster tools and done all of the verifications and what not. However, I just did a site:mysite.com and everything came up, but when I went to go do site:www-mysite.com(can't post links yet) nothing appeared.

I've been searching about how you want your main domain to be one of the two, but it is not making sense to me. Also, how can I get the www-mysite.com to index?

The non 'www.' version is what is known as the 'root domain'. Using the 'site:[root domain]' operand will show everything that Google has indexed belonging to your website.

If the 'www.' version is not appearing, it is because you haven't set it to do so. You essentially need to tell Google which version you prefer by using a rel=canonical tag (don't worry about that), this is done easily using Wordpress. Go to Settings > General > 'Wordpress Address URL' and 'Site Address URL'. Make sure both have 'www.' included, then you're good to go.

Also note that yoursite.com and www.yoursite.com are two different sites. If you leave both up without a 301, you'll penalize yourself for duplicate content.
