Indexation issues still?

Want to know something more frightening?

I have a whitehat site. All posts were indexed in the past without any issues. Yet, a new post I published last July-August wasn't indexed for 2+ months. Yeap, not even joking. Another post wasn't indexed for 3+ months. However, other new posts were indexed as normal. It is like its spiders/bots will only index when they feel like it.

Then I used this method:

It did help.

However, other websites, especially a new one I've been working on (clean website, no toxic backlinks history and haven't even started building any links, top quality articles with references, .etc) had only 2 posts were indexed since last November. All other posts did not get indexed.
Did a search in BHW and I believe it is the 4 results penalty. However, some links are cached but isn't appearing in the site: query search.

First of all, check your website at site liner and check content over there, check these URLs within GSC under coverage and find page URLs are coming in the discovered but not index OR crawled - not index area, try to inspect those URLs and see what is showing over there then try to resolve those issues.
 
Indexing issues have ramped up in the past 2-3 months

Yes.

I'm so confused with what Google really wants now. Despite following all their 'guidelines' putting up quality content and such, your articles may just never get indexed. That means your months of effort and money spent can just go down the drain.
The biggest concern is the uncertainty because you don't know whether to cease everything and just cut your losses; or keep focusing on it, which means more time and money spent in the coming days/weeks/months.

I wonder if this is some new measure in their algorithm to stop users from exploiting expired domains to rank easily. However, I've also read this indexation issue happens to websites with newly-registered domain names too.

We used to joke that in every algorithm update, it's like playing a game of roulette. Now with this indexation issue, it definitely is.


I still refuse to give up though. I am still going to keep working on the website. I will update if there's any positive or negative results about it in the coming weeks.
 
I have similar issue. Social media post indexed . Money site doesn't indexed yet.

well, no. I mean finding out that someone is using old domain is quite easy, finding out if he is using it maliciously - that's completely another story. Where is the difference between buying an website from someone or buying his domain and building a site? One just have to open black hat niches over the world to see how not working are expired domains. :D

Do you think if I rewrite the content it will index?

I haven't tried this (and honestly can't be bothered) but I will if would work......

You can just try to change the URL. This force Google to re-evaluate the page and it may help. Apart of that I just saw the other day indexing services started to offer VIP credits which is simply a link from Google news website. So far this seems to work pretty good, but is more expensive and not suitable for thousands of pages.

I see. But what about links to the existing page?

I assume I would do a redirect to the new URL ?

If is internal links - change them to the new URL, the rest (if there is any outbound links) will just follow the redirected old URL (do 301 from /old-url/ to /new-url/ )/

I regularly post blogs, and at the moment I'd say only about 50% of them are getting indexed.

There's no reason they shouldn't be, and some haven't been indexed that are like 2+ weeks old.

I know G had a lot of indexation issues to the tail end of last year, is it still happening?

Yes, unfortunately, many people are still facing this issue due to the recent Google update. If everything is good and you don't get any issue report from Google Search Console, you shouldn't be worried, just be patient and wait for things to sort out, I believe they will soon. Maybe try not to submit the site for reindexing too often as that may slow the process down.

Easier said than done when you are publishing time sensitive content - for example information about events (sports games, festivals etc) and Google index your post 2-3 weeks after the event, despite being in Google news and all.
 
Has anyone happened to find a solution to this, or a way of getting them indexed? It's becoming a real issue, 4/12 blogs are indexed & 3/9 landing pages which are linked site wide!
 
One month back, I bought an expired domain (clean anchor profile and history) with a few pages indexed. After that, when I set up the theme (importing demo content) many of the dummy pages also got indexed).

Post theme setup, I published three posts, each of which got indexed on google and started ranking on the 3rd - 5th page within a week.
After 4 - 5 days, the website suddenly disappeared from search results for most keywords ( google dance, maybe?).

Post that, I published a few more posts (4000+ word detailed post every day), and none of them are indexed on google.

Also, the pages indexed before are not visible on doing the keyword search + domain name on google.

Even google console behaves strangely, with a submitted sitemap showing the old post count and not getting updated.

Not able to understand the issue. Could someone please help?
