I will make this quick :) I am sure some of you will remember this piece of software back in 2010 or even sooner than that.

I am talking about Ventrilo. It just so happens that I found an old profile with a link in there that is DF and indexed on the big G.

Won't go into details as this is a simple profile backlink method (related to gaming mostly) but can be used in any niche.

1) head over to: http://forum.ventrilo.com/register.php?do=register
2) Register your profile with a username based on the keyword or brand name.
3) Verify email and then head over to http://forum.ventrilo.com/profile.php?do=editprofile
4) Put a small website description in "about yourself" and enter your homepage URL in the field.
5) Save the changes and then your link should be: http://forum.ventrilo.com/member.php?u=MEMBERID
6) Send that to indexer and ciaooo wait for it to get indexed.

Hey thanks for the share but I'm not understanding your point 6).
Why would I need to send the link to an indexer? Just waiting for google to index it themself wouldn't work?

If not, what should I do to make sure my backlinks will be indexed?

I personally do it to index such links.. maybe it will naturally get indexed though I would still use social signals or some quick SB or GSA blast to it.
 
In recent times I've not been a fan of profile links, but this is a good share anyway.

What do you mean by "I would use social signals" or "I would use some quick SB or GSA blast to it"? I tried to google it and my best guess is that these are tools, m I correct?

Why worthless? Good to diversify link profile and if blasted with T2 links it could do something.

I usually put them directly to money site.

GSA (search engine ranker) and SB (scrapebox) are tools. Social signals you can order from the marketplace which are just shares of the link on social media profiles.
