Index page gone from google

Fellow Strugglers.

I recently put a site up (about 2 months ago) - 4 pages.

1 index page and 3 sub pages.

I did a bit of linking over a week or two - maybe added 50 links - and it landed home at number 8 for the index pages target phrase.

Now - today - the index page is gone when I search www dot domain dot com - the other 3 pages are still showing - but the index is not.

Am I bolloxed?

don't fret, it'll return...it's happened to me several times on one particular site

Please check out the last activity of crawler from webmaster tool and it is possible that it will be back at its position in one or two days.. it happens with the new sites when you start creating backlinks.. Please check your content, that it must not be duplicate.

It came back about 2 days later - cheers for the info.

Also - it was at 8 and it came back at 7 beating ebay.

Just wait it out, if it's been 6 weeks then start to worry about it. Build another site in your downtime
