Index.html to index.html.bak.bak

Guys, I am using namecheap and my index.html is getting renamed to index.html.bak.bak and I am not able to find out why this is happening, can someone help me out? I am not using any platform (wordpress etc)

Could be anything from security issue to hosting problems. You could as well contact namecheap support.
