Recently, out of the blue my eBay seller account (I can still buy) received an "indefinite ban". I called eBay CS to try to get the ban removed or at least an explanation as to why I was banned and they said they couldn't reveal the details regarding their decision. My account has 99.3% feedback and have been selling for nearly 10 years on eBay! I don't sell regularly so when I received 2 negative feedbacks within a 12 month time period (thanks to unreasonably trolling buyers whom I offered a prompt refund to) I guess that may have triggered it? The ban didn't occur for several months after the last negative feedback I had, though.

Is there a guide or something on how to start selling on eBay again after an unreasonable ban? I've been trying but there's a number of problems I've encountered already so I'd love to to hear from others who have done something like this before I selll a bunch of stuff and find out more problems... Do they check IPs? I have a VPN but would rather not use it if it's not necessary.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Newbie (to BlackHatWorld) here...

Many VPN servers have IP's that are blacklisted by Ebay. Ebay is aware of VPN servers, and knows that people use it to circumvent seller restrictions. You can check a vpn's IP address information to see what company it comes from; there are a couple that Ebay knows well.

The best thing you can do is just get your service provider to change your IP or to unplug it and renew it yourself.

That is at least what I have read about VPN's.

What were you selling? Was it a VERO item? Was it branded?

Sometimes low DSR coupled with selling in a risky enough category is enough for a ban.

Their method is a combination of factors that people simply can't figure out.

I was restricted a year ago after making several thousand in sales in a couple months. The reason was due to low DSR's I was selling used trading cards that are a low risk item and not under VeRo average sale was around $5 so there was no chance of me mass scamming, but I was still restricted.

One person bought 10 cards off me and left all low feedback for them after they arrived late, his total order was $8.56, my total earnings for that month were $1,300 and counting. I had paid over $100 in seller fees, but Ebay decided that a $8.56 order was worth more than my hundreds of satisfied customers and hundreds in seller fees.

So it is obvious they are very lucrative in their restrictions. The Ebayer that left me poor feedback isn't even a registered user anymore and may have been a competitor for all I know.

I had written and called twice, and found acting very nicely, and as if you are in the wrong will get you as far as you can get. Being defensive and aggressive is the wrong approach when talking with Ebay.

The best thing you can do is ask what the exact problem is and why you have been restricted, upon receiving that information come up with a plan that follows ebay guidelines, which you will then send back as an appeal. You need to be very to the point in your e-mails.

I have had my account reviewed 3 times since the restriction and every time I get the same old answer, but at least they are reviewing it and not sending me your run of the mill auto responses; the details in my e-mails talk about specific sales(the one guy who left me 10 negatives) and how since I have had so many cases opened against me(the guy opened 10 cases) that I couldn't be reinstated.

One e-mail told me I wasn't suspended forever, the other said I was suspended forever, so not everyone knows what they are talking about.

I have searched online for a sign that someone who has been banned has been reinstated and can't find any proof, every ebay poser who has posted in every forum that I read which refers to being banned is still banned when I check on them.

To my knowledge it is basically impossible to get back.

My last e-mail involved me send a copy of my i.d, pay stub, social insurance number...etc, and no response.

Now I am on a stealth account, and won't appeal my real account until it has been 12 months since last negative review.

I doubt Ebay keeps files on everyone updated forever, but it may be years before an account can be reinstated.

Theres a bunch of information on this forum on how to get back on. You just have to search and read them all and come up with the best way that works for you.

I don't recommend buying ebay stealth guide since all the information in the guide is just basic info that several users on this forum laid it out for you in one post.

Not sure why they decided to ban you based on the information you provided. What I can tell you is that a VPN is a no go with ebay or paypal alike. You need the cleanest IP possible that is consistent. Never user a VPN or public proxy that could very well be blacklisted by ebay or paypal.

they know not only all your ips and location but also lapto you are using as well as browser etc

sometimes your ips can be blacklisted and triggered that can lead to ban also because some ips can be marked as spammers Ip

Isn't there a book on stealthing? I bought one by searching google and it helped greatly
