Increese residential proxies speed

Hi I have a question, if I forward (forward) proxies of my resident us provider through a high performance DE server will I, located in eu have a better ping?

That's usually the logic. The closer the server is, the better the connection speeds are, less lag etc. However, in practice this not always works. Depends on the provider you choose and residential proxies are usually a lot slower than VPNs or DC proxies.

I ask this because a resident provider, with a US proxy ping me 140ms, and I am in europe, if I ping the proxy it takes me to an AWS DE server, my question is how is it possible?

I also tried a Brazilian proxy, always ping 140ms, if I ping the proxy dns it always takes me to an AWS DE server.
