What is the quickest(best) way to increase a domains page rank? Is it better to build a ton of backlinks from sites that have lower page rank, or better to build less links but concentrating on getting backlinks from sites that have much higher page rank?

I see people who are flipping domains and within several months after buying a new domain they have already gotten the site a pr of 3 or 4.

Just wondering what strategies have worked for you guys.

The best way is tons of backlinks, but don't waste your $$$ on the wrong kind of backlinks - They won't work.

Since the Google "Panda" update a lot has changed.

Google has moved the playing field and simple text links are almost counter productive, Pyramid linkbuilding is no longer worth the effort but Contextual Links will get you an almost immediate SERPS improvement.

Most of the backlinks you will be offered today will be either, simple text on blog profiles or blog comments.

Tens of thousands of both can be done in 24hrs using Scrapebox, and because of that Google is now giving simple text links less weight in SERPS.

If you watch the latest video by Matt Cutts, Google's own guru, you will learn that contextual backlinks now have the most value.

Contextual backlinks are links placed inside an article or blog post that are in the context of their surrounding text, so they look natural.

For example an article on firefighting might have links to a firestation URL. These are quite time consuming to create and invariably need an image to get maximum Google juice.

For anyone planning to create backlinks I recommend you to take 3 minutes to watch the Matt Cutts video on http://autoseosystem.com

If you recognise the change he speaks about. then afterwards use their FREE software to create some contextual articles embedded with your own URL.

I recently flipped a domain (and now actively into it). Took me about a month and half. The trick is simple.. buy an aged domain that is indexed (if its dmoz listed its an extra bonus, if its an EMD then its a winner)

Build backlinks to them (I used scrapebox). At the time of purchasing the domain it was PR0.. but within 3 weeks it shot to PR3 and that's where it is right now.

However you won't be able to do this on a fresh domain though.

I agree that Contextual Links are now the way to go but are so time consuming. It is better to outsource at the moment until someone develops a bot for this.

do you know roughly how many links you threw at it during those 3 weeks?

Given the fact that the domain was 10 years old, did a direct SB blast.. kept it running for days in a row. Majestic SEO shows about 1200 odd backlinks.

Of course I did some manual High page pr posting as well maybe a few 100 from the lot.
 
I think the best bet although costly, is to buy 25 or so aged domains with links already to them..then add a simple wordpress blog (headway makes this easy). You can use a company like hostseo.org which will cost you 90$ a month in hosting, but you get 25 unique C Class IP's.

Make your site a "review" site if you are promoting a product. For example, if you are promoting the tablet P.C. niche, go around the web and find reviews of the latest tablets and rewrite four simple reviews at between 200-250 words. Find and add an image to your review and also embed a video which you can find on Youtube.

Once you have done this, you can add your links into each review as a contextual link. This works great for SEO as I do this every day in my full time job.I managed to get a super high competition keyword to number 5 page one, from page two within 2 weeks using this method. It can boost your site tremendously and the content is all vetted by yourself so you know exactly what quality you are getting.

No need to worry about or you have to calculate about this. The amount will be decided by the back linking provider.
Just tell them that you want your domain at which pr, then there is no tension to you about how many back links have to do and so...
It will become then provider responsibility to give you result in as many as bac linking.
If you will use backlinksindexer, you can get good advantage.

You right but you cant tell me High PR links and Quality links wont work. If you get Quailty links i still think you can rank well. But contextual backlinks are the new best way. Try some wiki links too.
 
This thread has become a very interesting discussion. What do you guys think of SB blasting a month old domain? Let's say it has 50 articles; PR 0; 5,000 Backlinks Will that work IYO in boosting it up on the SERPS and PR, or will it destroy all that it's achieved so far?

Let me ask you this: Will SB blasting a Month old domain have a positive or negative effect on its SERPS and PR, or just the opposite? Let's say it has 50 pages, PR 0 and 5,000 Backlinks.
 
I once blasted a site with continuous scrabebox blasts. It didn't move up the serps but it's PR changed from PR NA to PR3 within a month. It was one month old domain with hardly 2-3 articles on it.
But the catch here is that I was learning scrapebox and I blasted it using the wrong keywords. Instead of putting the keywords in there, I placed normal names of people there. So, links got posted with the anchor text as the common names and link of my domain.

The best and quickest way to increase a domains page rank is back linking. Backlinking works fast and good for increasing the PR. backlinksindexer is mastre in back linking services.
I basically prefer this.
