Increase Youtube Plays with PPC and iframes.

Another idea is to buy lots of pay per impression hits from a contextual network.

Has worked for me before.

i'm thinking of that video site that pays per 1000 views... surfspik any idea how to completely mute the video so that it completely hides in a 1x1 iframe? tried .mute(); to no avail, i'm glad i thought of this the idea seems to be catching on. :)

hello everyone i read the whole topic and made some tries myself and there are some points i would like to ask :)
...tube.com/v/adAtziSGrQA&enablejsa.....
i think we have to change this letters to the one in youtube video url am i right?
also do this work with metacafe? i tried to change the url from http to &enablejs.. part but it didn't work.

hey im going to try this i think its a great idea has anyone gotten their video to go viral yet?

This works pretty good for page views, just change the 2 url's for your video:) and insert on a page that gets hits or buy cheap ppc traffic

Code:
<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
 allowscriptaccess="never" allownetworking="internal"
 data="http://www.youtube.com/v/absdefgh123&autoplay=1&rel=0"
 height="0" width="0">
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="never"><param
 name="allowNetworking" value="internal">
<param name="movie"
 value="http://www.youtube.com/v/absdefgh123&autoplay=1&rel=0"></object>

This works excellent. Now all we need is a definitive way to mute the videos. Anyone?

This is an excellent thread. Very useful.

Cant figure out how to mute sound on the code - does not even seem to be support for mute in youtube/google API that I can find - sorry:(
I just use videos with no sound ie slideshow type promotional videos for CPA offers so the code is OK for my use:)

Note that some traffic providers do not allow iframe content on pages so if you get caught they may cancel your campaign with no refunds. Just a heads up guys!

I cannot find a logical way to mute the sound either. One suggestion is to simply mute the player while it is loaded from youtube, and then you will not get sound. The challenge of course is that ANYONE can unmute it by simply doing so on youtube. In addition, if there is sound you would want legitimate viewers to hear it, so there appears to be no easy way to accomplish the desired goals.

I don't believe for a second that there isn't a way to simply mute the player on load. Perhaps you could use some sort of wrapper around the javascript code to accomplish this. There's got to be at least one decent coder here with a workaround?

I don't know why you all are having trouble. Just make sure you run the code I gave you in an environment that allows javascript.

Here is the youtube API reference:
http://code.google.com/apis/youtube/js_api_reference.html

I've tested .mute() and it works perfectly for me. As far as I know, this is the only way to mute the video.

doseph, using your script I get this error:

You need Flash player 8+ and JavaScript enabled to view this video.

I just put the <html> tags before and after it to test if it was on a page with writing. Whats the issue?

Thank you!

You will have to include swfobject.js download off google and put it on your website

I hate to say it but I told yah so. :) Glad to hear it works. My stats were at over 6,000 views and onto page 1 for my niche in under a week. So i'd say its a pretty decent method.

Thank you pussyback, but where do you "download swfobject.js off google"?

Thank you!

Now combine this with the guy who made the ringtone posting related to youtube and you got yourself a money maker. No?

Whats the address of that thread rubixcubeman?
