The Mods should seriously consider raising the Jr. VIP requirements. Yes, I do realize that with the lower requirements, more people are able to become Jr. VIP members which increases the revenue of the forum. I also realize that this is not the sole purpose of the forum, but the purpose is more to create a safe place for higher level information to be shared.

BHW should increase the requirement for the account age and reputation. 100 posts is enough to ensure the member is active, but it also depends on how long someone has actually been a member for. If they have been a member for two months and have 350 posts, I can either assume they are ridiculously active or just try to rack up their post count. If a person has been a member for longer, say 6 months, and has 125 posts, this indicates they read the forum and post when they feel they have something important to say (I understand this is not in all cases). Which leads me to my first point. Their should be a higher requirement for reputation. If the purpose of the Jr. VIP area is to make sure there is a safe place for information that shouldn't be shared with the general public, then the people in it should probably be smart, reliable, and helpful to the forum. If we let in people who have been a member for two months and have 100 posts, how is this ensuring that we keep great information away from newbies? This makes BHW very vulnerable to someone who joins, racks up their post count, then rips the Jr. VIP members area and shares or sells the content. My second point, is increase the requirement for account age. I believe it's at 60 days right now, which isn't terrible. It just leaves room for n00bs to make their way into the Jr. VIP section. A raise to three months or even six would be ideal for ensuring a member to be a steadfast BHW member.

With that all said and done, it's late and I'm not sure how this all came out. I just wanted to encourage BHW to look into this issue a bit more.

Please note their are outliers to my post. There are always exceptions. In everything you do. I'm half asleep at this point and maybe even a little drunk.

i am not agree because there are many section where you cant increase your post count so 100 post is enough yeah they can do on reputation point so only reputed member get in

So now we have 2 current threads that are asking for change. There are lots of ways but as a whole we must present it in a way that benifits the site and all of us.

I agree. Like I said in the post, 100 posts is enough (I went back and bolded it). My main points were suppose to be reputation and account age.

I agree with reputation. And for length I think three months is enough. rep +20, 100 posts, 3 months old account.

PS: i'm gonna be jvip soon.

Well this way Jr.VIP would be more exclusive. Getting posts and wait till your account ages is easy, but the hardest part is to gain rep under your belt as a new member, sharing valuable information or providing some kind of service. I'd agree to increase requirements for Jr.Vip.

Why not find a way down the middle that achieves a better quality of forum participant, and increases revenues. Raise some of the requirements if you must, but if the price was slightly higher, it would increase earnings to offset the lower influx of JrVIPs. But at the same time, allow the offset to also be replaced with free JrVIP upgrades for meeting another set of non monetary requirements that would require dedication and quality sharing.

OP,

Your points are valid, but I suggest that let the Mods and the Higher-Ups decide who should enter the Jr.VIP section mainly based on the high-quality of the posts (majority of it, at least) created by the member who wishes to be a Jr. VIP. That way, a Jr. VIP status will be well-justified and s/he can be a real BHW asset. The account will age in due time, and the Reputation will be increased as a result of the quality posts by the member. If any member even gives 30 such very high quality outputs within a month, s/he can be eligible for the Jr. VIP status.

I always love drunk posts haha

I vouch for rep and acc age

sounds good in theory but my rep has come from some pretty ordinary posts and some gems have given me no rep at all.

I hate to suggest my method because the mods will hate it, but maybe it should be by request and manual approval once the required levels have been met.

Rep and thanks are easy to come by. Just look at the repetitive Sb methods. post one of these, even if it's been said 100 times before and you'll get rep and thanks

Nah manual approval is already for exec vip. JrVip is more like appreciation for donating to bhw

Well said xhpdx.

Jr.Vip is not for the section, the main reason is giving back to BHW, if BHW has helped you, then you can give back by donating for Donor / Jr.Vip, the section, is just a bonus for the donators, so is the signature , title, etc.

Jr.Executive is when you share some really good, worth upgrading you, but you will only have access to the other Jr.Executive VIP threads, not the Executive VIP section itself.

Executive VIPs are chosen by other Executive VIPs, and Exec.VIPs can access the Jr.Vip, Jr.Exec VIP and Exec VIP.

The info in Jr.Vip is worth much more than $97.

I can't comment on what it is in the Jnr VIP section, but I agree it appears super easy to get into. I've only been here 10 minutes and yet under the existing rules I'll be applicable in another month, if I wish to, if I conitnue to post at the rate I have done.

My only issue with reputation is I have seen some members here who I have a great deal of respect for who don't have a massive amount of rep, presumably because too many people don't bother giving it.

I would vote for that despite the fact it would make it longer before I got in, thanks and rep as have been pointed out by other posters can be got by playing the system a little, and therefore would be harder to monitor their worth.

the old jr vip is the new exec vip. the jr vip just brings the site profit and makes me have a cool blue username. if i dont recall i read a thread where a dude was asking how to setup a <a href code correctly lol.

Move to JR VIP please!!!

Can't be bothered reading this shite

I'm a member from 2010 and have 35 posts am I eligible for jr. vip membership?

I've seen the paypal button so I guess I can become a jr. vip member.

Is it ok?

I'm anxious to become a jr. vip!

Thank you

posting to lounge would not count as a post? also thanks/post radio would be good indicator if user contributes.

I do agree with OP, i'm not Jr VIP but i plan to be soon.

I would appreciate if this section isn't a newbie section where people are affraid to share their method.

POst count + rep + thanks you should meet a requirement !
