Income School recipe with shopify?

I'm following the Income School course with a niche blog, so far so good, but my aim is to start selling products from that niche, but not right away-
Should I start with shopify and my blog? Or should I continue with wordpress and the transfer the blog to shopify when I start to sell stuff?

I'm thinking that if I start ranking content with some blog posts and then change from wordpress to shopify will make a mess with the rankings.
I'm no expert tho I appreciate any input.

I'd install WooCommerce and avoid changing to Shopify.

I suggest a more effective way to sell.

Use your blog to generate a nice targeted email list.

Sell your shopify store's products through your newsletter updates

Why do things this way? You get many chances to sell to list members.

Also, they are more likely to get used to (and trust) your updates and this makes it easier to sell your shopify shop's products
