My fulltime job is curious on how to base my incentive and bonus plan.

Basically I am an IT guy and Marketing Director. They understand how to incentivize the marketing side, but not so much the IT side of things.

What kind of "goals" should the IT side incentive be based on? Anyone have any ideas?

It's a hard thing to put an incentive on to be honest. What kinds of things do you do in IT, as obviously, it's a pretty broad field?

That would narrow down what could be set as goals quite a bit.

Exactly - really broad. Here's a little scope.

I handle everything IT for a destination resort... from server administration to desktop helpdesk stuff. This includes being the webmaster (designing and maintaining the website), helping and administering email and active director accounts, etc... the whole 9 yards.

I am also the marketing director in which I'm doing e-commerce and online marketing for the resort both locally and state wide.

I am also on call 24/7/365 and it's not uncommon for me to work 12+ hours a day whether it be in office or remotely from home.

The marketing incentives are easy - it's based off transient business and guests... but the IT side is what is difficult. I'm just not sure what to tell them to benchmark me on and they're not sure either, but they need to do it.

You should have good tracking solution and lead capture method, which depends on the country you are.

Relevancy, clearly not your strong point.

OP, my only advice is to give it a quick search, perhaps head over to one of the StackExchange sites, and ask what kinds of things users have seen in the past given as incentive points. There's like 3 very active computing boards within the StackExchange, so you'll be bound to find someone who was/knows someone in a similar position to you, and knows what kind of incentives are usually offered for IT guys.
