Recently there is lot of scams in dispute resolution

buyers explains they have been using the link given by seller for communication, chat on telegram, used telegram username from seller contact/profile

buyers also need to prove the conversation started, screenshot of chat in case of dispute / scam

sellers mostly state impersonation or fake, copycat acting like seller

It would be better if there is a chat system for buyer and marketplace seller so all logs stay within bhw so easy to check in case of dispute

making restrictions like chat can be ended after sale completed, restricted access based on profile, who can use such chat function, restriction for new seller by simultaneous number of chat allowed can reduce scams

I knew there is PM /DM but a facebook messenger like chat function takes market place to next level

It's not the chat platform that makes disputes difficult to handle, it's the twenty dozen pages of arguments, insults, and irrelevant talking points that we get sent.

The buyer needs to prove that the transaction began on Black Hat World. A screenshot is not necessary, and many of the accusers in the dispute resolution section just send us a conversation link.

If we did implement a live chat system, the seller would just blame their VA or "an employee", like they often do on the support desk already. We would just see increase of that.

Unfortunately, a built-in live chat feature isn't going to discourage anyone from scamming. After all, scammers don't see a live chat feature and think, "Oh, damn, they've got a live chat feature. Guess I'm not going to rip this guy off!"

It's not even close to being a deterrent of any kind. If anything, it may just makes scams happen faster since the communication happens faster.

To answer this question, we've had a live chat feature requested here many times, and it's not something we're currently looking to implement, at least at this time.
