Hi there, new user here.

I have a feeling that this has been asked here a lot, dropshipping from aliexpress to amazon, in theory would it work - I list an Aliexpress item for sale into Amazon, customer orders whatever i have listed and then i order it from Aliexpress with the info provided me by the customer? (Read it was bannable?)

Actually what I'm asking is tips and/or tricks, what to do exactly (yes, never done it but thought a good thing to start with). I have searched around the forum, trying to pick up any bits of info i could but in the end im inside a "paralysis by analysis".

All help, criticism, everything is appreciated.

I also want to know how drop shipping works as far I know drop shipping is now dead

Your typical Amazon shopper want their things fast. Your discounted purchases from Ali takes 2 months to arrive. How are you going to bridge that difference in expectations?

I do not have any experience using us and canada version of amazon but aliexpress says that it takes 20-30 days to ship to US via regular air mail, so we shave off 1 month. In theory ofcourse... As i mentioned in my regular post, i have no experience.

Some say it's dead, some say it's very much doable so i'm getting mixed emotions here

Much less than that if use Epacket. Around 3 weeks to 1 month. Or lucky Less than 2 weeks.

But the that would eat into your margins..and 2 weeks is still 7x longer than 2 days with prime/US based customers. I guess it depends on the item and impulsive your customers are. You can pass the cost of shipping onto the customer (which most folks do).

But can't you put in your info that delivery times may vary from 2 weeks to 4 weeks? I mean if a person wants to buy something then i think he or she will read the description. If a person doesn't like to wait, he or she will not buy

You can also buy bulk, send to amazon warehouse and then proceed with the orders

your main issue with ammazon is transit time, from china the fastes time takes arrount 17 days (with a shipping company (midle men) if you buy directly from aliexpress that same trasit time will take up to 45 days, keep that in mind, amazon users wants PRIME treatmen (48 hours)

Aliexpress dropshipping is so played out. what would be your unique spin on it? Aliexpress has grown in awareness over the last few years, so for that reason alone it's harder to use it as your dropshipping supplier. I'm not saying itsi impossible, but doing it over amazon is extremely difficult.

As someone who is your potential target customer (amazon prime user) an aliexpress product would stick out. The top selling amazon products are usually bought from alibaba or another bulk supplier. You would then put your brand on it, potentially customize the product, and then ship it to amazon. Doing this gives you faster shipping time, a unique product, and a cheaper price point per product.

You'd have better luck straight dropshipping aliexpress products over ebay. I don't think Amazon is the medium for this, as the competition has you beat in so many ways.

Just my 2 cents.

There are issues with this method.
What about Amazon bill and it's packaging?
Products from Aliexpress never contains those.

THe only thing you can do is to buy in bulk then sell them as a business owner.

When you work in retail you will learn people are thick as shit. No one reads anything. Everyone wants it now. If it does not work, does not arrive, breaks, its blue when the picture was red despite saying its blue in the description, or they where out when the post arrived its all your fault.

One of the main driving force people are leaving eBay is because so many people are dropshipping from china with long wait times people just don't want to wait anymore.

So in a sense dropshipping from Ali to Amazon is possible but very very difficult and i did some research yesterday trying to find some good niche to compete in Ali to Ebay but the profit margin after shipping fees and etc is incredibly small (like cents profit). Maybe it's me that i haven't found any good product.
My initial idea was wooden watches with special engraving on them, the watches themselves were looking very decent and not like "plastic". But that would mean i need to buy the watch and the engraving separetly and ofcourse i can not order engravings in bulk.

Appreciate all the answers here, gives me some solid insights! ;)

Margins in drop shipping are always going to be tight. Your going to be better off saving some money buying in bulk and branding it out as your own.

i agre wit you 100%, PRIME Services is hard to compete, after a wahile i leared that is not wise if i am offering same products as amazon on prime, there is not way to compete, instead i spent time looking for stuff that amazon doent have, thats the onley way for me to infor my customer that the product will arrive in less than 17 days, if some one have a differten way to approach the PRIME service i would love to read it

Buy in bulk, have it sent out to Amazon (FBA) compete on a price point after all costs are taken out.

LOL. Your this post is the most NAIVE i ever seen in BHW forum. Go figure out WHY so many dropshipper use Aliexpress.
Eat my margin ? Hahahahahhahahaha ! Bullshit CRAP talk from adverts.

Oh just a little newbie tip. Many products from Aliexpress/Taobao/1688, CANNOT be found @ Amazon. 10,000 or even more ??

Seems like a good deal, but isn't aliexpress very slow in shipping?

You're giving buyers way to much credit.
Those idiots never read anything, ever, lol.
Compiled with Amazon's maximum 1% ODR, dropshipping is pretty risky IMO.
