Both together is best, but if I should choose then tho I've had good rankings with content only, I see more questionable sites on SERPs that have just a strong backlink profile, so I'd choose backlinks over content.

I will say content and backlinks both are important. If you want organic traffic then you require backlinks but If you have viral content then you can bring traffic from social media as well there will be auto backlinks generated through social media.

Both - Unique content and Backlinks from Good sItes matter most. But if you have relevant content that helps your users to reach you, nothling like that - as Google wants to offer better experience to its users.

Write blogs with 1000+ words on your blog website.

Both are equally important .. you need to optimize site not for only google but for user experience too .. to maintain user engagement and bounce rates ... so quality and detailed content is a must.
