In need of advice

Alright I know I am a newbie here, but I might as well start asking the stupid questions now so that later on I am not makeing the same mistakes over and over.

My sales plan is decent in respects I make profit sense I do wholesale items. My problem is i have no random people buying from my online store sense quite frankly it doesn't look like a good store.

I found my niche I just need help figuring out exactly how to make it more profitable and get the word out there. I am working the fragrance market sense its practically a unchallenged business dominated by only a few stores going belly up.

My questions are, how do I make toughs elusive "random sales" to people who are just browsing my store? I have been browsing the site for the past three days and I didn't find anything on that topic. maybe I was just in the wrong place but a few pointers would be very much appreciated.

Alright the less newbie question is. I am makeing a serious killing when i make sales im just too dumb to know how to properly do anything in my own market. -_- think dilberts boss no technology know how {other then basic forum usage and what not} and no special technology.

so i need idiot proof methods without all the abbriviations or at least a key for the abriviations used.
