I was ranking well, I ignored all the Google recommendations email from search console and Google started to punish me after June end.

My few links got removed and my ranking started to drop... Than I started to check carefully my search console 112 links were flagged with low CLS AND LCP issue.

It took me 5 days to fix half of the link. I had to first fix my home page and most important links that were bringing me traffic.

Now I can see improvement, my traffic is returning back and now getting better ranking than previously it used to be.

We can surely ignore the page speed but we can't ignore the LCP and CLS related issue since they are related to core Web vitals.


Please have a look inside If you are facing the similar issue.

I am getting CLS issue message within Google search console. How can i fix this?

Try using the WP rocket plugin. The fix takes time to validate and remember to look at the lab data for your current stats on PSI.

Dhruva can you share the method to fix the issue? I m using wp Rocket also but still the google search console showing errors every day.​

What you need to look at is the lab data which are your current stats. They are great, cumulative layout shift is zero!
The stats above them (Field data) is a monthly average. Just wait for them to come down with your current settings. I'd say around 2 weeks.
No need to do anything else.

I got the same issues too on GSC, my URLs went from "needs improvement" to "poor" and my rankings started dropping significantly.
I have fixed my issues and my rankings are gradually recovering just few days after.
It will take 28 days for Chrome User Experience Report to update and fix the issue.
But indeed, LCP and CLS related issues can not be ignored, especially for new unstable websites.

I don't believe this is true. It can take less as it is a rolling monthly average. It depends on how out of whack your stats are. A big LCP or CLS problem will taker longer to correct than a smaller one.

Forget that chart, it will change when the issue is fixed over a monthly average.
Look at your CLS lab data in PSI, it tells if it is fixed right now.
You can watch the CLS issue percentage slowly decrease over time until it is gone on the field data in PSI.

It keep on decreasing CLS number for Dekstop and still i m receiving "need improvement " within GSC
