Has anyone faced this situation?

Last 4 days i see significant improvement for my site in Semrush, but in Ahrefs it keeps declining and loose keywords

and whom should i trust? :D

I see improvement in both, but semrush has higher improvement than ahrefs in my case.

Like nSnoopy mentioned earlier, both of these software have evolved well, and are solid choices for any SEO professional. But semrush IMO has really stepped up their game more. I still use Ahrefs for checking backlinks etc, but if I had to choose only one, I'd go with Sem. Not just for SEO, as I have found Sem's ad research tools particularly useful as well.

All 3rd party tools can only give estimates. Semrush and ahrefs give different stats as they use different databases.
For the basic features, you could just use Google Webmaster Tools. For paid tools, you're paying for the extra features, that many sites don't need.
Stick to one tool.

When checking website performance you shouldn't rely primarily on either of those. Anyone you want to use pair it with search console.

Because even search console doesn't have information readily accessible the way either of these tools have it. So to ascertain between Ahrefs and semrush which is more accurate, compare whatever they provide you with search console.

They use different algos and they’re not affiliated with google in any way so their results won’t necessarily Be reflected in the serps.

ahrefs has a lot of great tools, but I wouldn't trust their ranking or traffic calulators. I am not sure what they are based on, but they are not accurate at all. SEMrush is closer to what traffic calulations would look like in Adwords years ago.

Not only for you it happens for all the SEO Professionals I guess. I use both the tools, but the thing is many of my clients prefer ahreff to check the performance.

Both have different algos for checking the rankings , so difference is okay !

I have seen little difference in traffic, not much. Compared to Semrush, I have seen hike in Ahref

Both of these tools have a lot of delay in their keyword updates so you shouldnt care too much how these swing, some keywords are updated once a month or less on ahrefs for example. Analytics > semrush/ahrefs

Check the analytics And Manually search in google

None, just GSC and Google analytics.
Also check manually 10-15 most significant keywords with guest mode (not incognito, cuz it follows your surfing history).
I also check with "uninvolved" person's mobile. I mean a person who probably would not go to a site I'm checking on regular basis. Just type the keywords one by one and count the positions.

This thread is a proof of the fact that none of the third party sites are 100℅ accurate.

This can happen from time to time, and sites got pretty different results on various tools. Ahrefs is usually more reliable, but if you want to have the most accurate insights about what's going on, you should check reports on Search Console and Webmaster tool as here you'll see if there's any problem.
