Hi,

Does anyone knows how to improve how you improve the place which you appear in people's search results within twitter?

Eg.

If my account is titled 'Cat Pictures'
When someone searches 'Cat Pictures' how do I make my account appear higher up in twitter's search?

I know number of followers is one factor, but I've seen accounts that appear higher than other accounts with more followers + the same exact name.
(I've seen this happen when searching from a blank account that follows no one + has no followers)

Help would be very much appreciated,

Thanks

You'll need to have a fresh content (tweets)
What do you mean by this, have a tweet recently or tweet original stuff?
Because I do both with a real following of 50k and accounts with a 10k following appear above me - with tweets that are no more frequent or original.

I often see accounts with huge amounts of followers but without recent tweets positioned lower than active accounts with smaller numbers. I can't say nothing about original vs. scraped content....

Twitter is not like SEO. If your tweet does not have a hashtag them the search goes by the latest tweet(its set up that way by default). Otherwise it uses the same theory with hashtags. If you want tweets to rank in searches you just need to tweet every few seconds. :)

Thanks for the input. Interesting, but I was wondering more about when people search for users, not tweets.
There must be certain things that change the order users (with the same name) appear, I wonder what they are...
If you appear higher in user search you will likely gain more followers from people searching.

To improve your Twitter search you need to make use of hash tag while making a tweet.

Thanks again but not really what I was asking. I'm talking about when someone searches for users, not tweets.

Just make one thing clear that just having number of followers will not rank you higher over social media. You need to track right audience for this who may be really interested in what you are dealing in. But this is not a short term process. It will surely take some time but yes this all can be done effectively if you regularly share something new, good, interesting, funny or controversial. At earlier stage you may not be noticed but along with some time you will gradually start getting response but you need to have some patience for this. Regular sharing, liking others content, sharing something that hits your audience, will surely rank you higher but bit gradually. and once you start getting noticed you will get a good rank in less time. You can use a tool for posting automatically, directly welcoming your new followers and schedule your posts in order to maintain frequent contact with your followers even when you are actually not. I am a social media enthusiast and would suggest you to use Sociota a management tool. This has really worked for me .
