I'm finding it's becoming increasingly difficult to browse marketplace threads because of OPs constantly bumping their threads with super long replies. This is fine occasionally, but when they do it in back-to-back posts and include screenshots of other users' avatars in their images, it becomes difficult to navigate through the thread without getting lost or constantly stopping over a testimonial screenshot thinking it's the start of the next reply. I don't want to gaslight any one particular sale thread, so instead see the graphic below for a better idea of what I mean about mistaking testimonial screenshots for new replies:

To combat this, would it be possible to add the ability to toggle the OP's posts by something like:
  1. Hide their replies
  2. Hide any attached images in their replies
  3. Truncate their replies after X number of words, with the remained hidden behind an 'expand' tag.
I'm only suggesting this for marketplace threads and not normal threads. I'm also suggesting this be an optional toggle so that only those who want to use it can.

Thanks

But the service can still be good, so I don't know if this advised rule should be followed.

check out the sales threads from notable sellers. you probably wont find them thread bumping

They don't do it because they don't need to. They are a notable seller.

New sellers don't have this advantage however. They have to bump their threads just to have their threads noticed. But that doesn't mean their service would be bad and you should stay away from them.

Yes, new sellers need exposure before they build name.

Hide their replies
I mean, you could technically block the seller, but then you wouldn't be able to see their thread. Unfortunately, implementing the features that makes their opening posts exempt isn't something we're looking into implementing at this time.
Hide any attached images in their replies
We'd have to target attached and embedded images. I can talk with the rest of the staff about this one, though.
Truncate their replies after X number of words, with the remained hidden behind an 'expand' tag.
This one might be feasible to implement. I'll bring this idea up as well.

I'll update this thread with an answer as soon as I can.

Update: not something we can do, sorry.
