Impression vs click through rate question

In youtube, impression mean " How many times your video thumbnails were shown to viewers. Includes only impressions on YouTube, not on external sites or apps. "
In website, impresison mean " It is measure by multiplying the total number of users of a given media times average number of exposures to an ad message. In online advertising, every time an ad appears on a new page load, an impression is counted. "

In youtube, CTR mean " Views per impressions shown. This measures how often viewers watched a video after seeing an impression. Wondering whether your Impressions click-through rate is high or low? "

I dont understand, if my CTR in youtube is below 3.5%, youtube will stop promoting my video, but it mean they didnt watch my video at all, but in website, it say they must click on AD? the fk?

I don't understand your question. The explanation above is spot on.
Impressions = How many times your video thumbnail or ad was seen
CTR = Ratio of how many people saw your video thumbnail or ad and clicked on it.

Oh u mean CTR = both thumbnail and AD click together? So if someone click on my thumbnail and AD together, it will count as 2, 200% CTR?

No they're completely separate. CTR in your YouTube analytics is not the same as it is in YouTube ads.

No, YouTube will not stop promoting/suggesting your video. Where did you get that information?

You can't decide whether the video is doing great based on one stat.

My CTR is 1.4% and it still gets recommended a lot. But CTR from search results is 17% and retention is well above average so my video is still doing great.

I'd say that relative retention is the most important indicator since it takes into account video length.
