Hello everyone,

I have a new website which I am trying to rank for difficult keywords 'london escorts'.

Competitors have been there for 10 years already and have huge traffic.

How likely is it that my new website will ever rank on 1st page of google for these short keywords?
If I do everything well, will Google favour me in a higher position over websites that have already been there 10 years? If so could it take a year or more?
Any advice is appreciated.

thanks,

LouiseX

Ideally, it is recommended to go for easier keywords, particularly those that are not dominated by strong and authority websites.

Since you already have a keyword you want to target despite it being a really difficult one, if you must continue with this keyword, you have to focus on building and growing your website's authority and of course taking care of your on-page SEO.

Age(10 years) is not necessarily what those other websites have against yours, but rather authority built over the years. You can build and improve your website's authority by building high quality niche relevant backlinks, the point is building authority links from strong authority websites with serious search engine presence.

High KD. Try to find clusters with lower search volume and create pages around it

Nothing is impossible. But you have to do hard work and money to beat its strong competitors.

Surely. If you do everything well, a.k.a. toss a ton of money into the basket, you will get there.

It's really hypothetical to work for page 1, because of your high competitive keyword and the experience of your competitors. So my opinion, If you have an effective SEO strategy and publish high-quality content continuously, Google will place you on the first page of search results.

Just a heads up, i know personally that most of those websites that rank for "london escort" and "cheap london escort" are run by organized crime. Trust me you don't want to rank number one for those keywords. I worked for one of this "Agencies" in London . I know what i'm talking about

I think Focus is everything. Your competitor have a website for 10 years. But, If you do lots of backlinks you can rank your website with your focus keyword. So, don't worry.

Yes, it is possible to rank higher than them.

But needs a lot of effort.

Not only the years of the domain give the authority to rank higher.

And the time to rank higher than them can't be exactly predicted, but as you said 1 year is a very minimal period to reach it with maximum effort.

It would take a lot of money to build better quality links than your competitors. I would recommend you change your target keyword and find something simpler.
