I pretty much tested everything by now.
USA sim and home wifi
USA SIM and proxy
USA SIM and vpn
No sim and proxy
etc...
My account shows usa videos and has dollar as the currency.
But for example one of my videos hits 50k views and I check the analytics - I get maybe 10% USA audience max.
The rest of the views are always something crazy like Georgia, Cyprus and other Europe countries.
I think we need to switch to real USA located phone devices to really hit USA audience or make extra specific content aimed at the US.

Must be to do with the phone's setup. Usually USA SIM plus a US mobile proxy for that sweet residential IP is enough to stay on the US target. If that doesn't work, the location is likely getting leaked through one other avenue or another.

Did you use a sound that was trending in those countries? For example if you target the US and use sounds from Latin America you'll get most of your audience from latam countries.

You can use the SIM and your home wifi with no issues to target the US.

If you use iPhone , u can try apps iMoveGo . I think it’s help you. Sorry for mistake English is not my native language

This is not true, I tested this multiple times. You have to understand that to go viral on tiktok you have to follow a certain way of making videos. I am recording Usa trends and getting audience from Europe.

Im just recording common tiktok trends that are popular everywhere

I wonder if they're using location details, but a part of it might be the content itself.

Things like spelling and language/phrasing and pronunciations can be a tip off to viewers that you're not local and that means the people most likely to engage or stay on your video are not from the US.

Spelling - like color vs colour
Phrasing - washroom vs. restroom vs. bathroom
Pronouncation (phonetically) - pre-sentation vs. present-ation
