Hello fellow members, I REALLY hope you can help me out here...

I used to spam on a social network a long time ago... I stopped because they had started to ghost me, meaning people weren't receiving my messages.

Now I tried to come back, worked fine for the first couple of days and it started again, here's what I've done:

    - Cleaned cookies, every kind of internet registry, cache, etc.
    - Changed my MAC address which changes my ip too.
    - Used different information, different pictures when signing up.
    - Even tried to vpns to see if this would get me through.

NOTHING works, they still know it's me, HOW , how on earth? Can you tell me what you think it might be? How are they screwing me over?

Erm, changing your MAC has no influence on your IP?
You need a MAC to get an IP, true, but changing your MAC does not change your IP unless you have a dial up or something with a dynamic IP in which case changing the MAC is just an extra security measure.
But, spoofing a MAC is not such a bad idea.

Also, your computer has a name and this information is visible to a webmaster, amongst other things.
Without going into the details of spoofing a complete system I suggest you try Linux. This will change your system profile enough hopefully.

Also, before you visit the target location it helps to visit sites like whatismyip.com to check if your IP really has changed.

Hope this helps but feel free to ignore as you see fit. :)

Thanks amsterdammer, I really need to find some guides around, something that will make them not see me! This is so frustrating

    You are very welcome.

They might be tracking you via supercookies though.
Regarding that, perhaps you should read one of the guides to get rid of them, there are lots.

But, the fastest way to find out is to run a live version of Linux. That way you don't have to install it. :)
If you put in a Mint distro or Ubuntu and reboot it should boot in Linux without changing anything on your hard disk. (hint)

Use virtual machines. Mess them up badly with unique user agents, browsers, languages, installed plugins to leave unique footprints. Use NoScript and privacy plugins.
