Importing Email Contacts in Linkedin?

Guys,

Are you still successful in importing email contacts from your email provider OR .csv file into Linkedin for mass adding?

If so, is there a limit of how many emails I can import from my email account (for example: 5,000)? If yes, how do I spread it out and import 5,000 contacts?

As far as I'm aware, there isn't an import limit for LinkedIn.

I thought I remember reading 1,000 is the limit? And should be spaced out, any idea?

There shouldn't be a limit.

Imported my address book years ago thinking it'd let me choose who I sent invites to from the list. Nope. It sent them to over 50k people. Oooops. Did result in a lot of new connections though.
