Importance of the follower count

Hey guys,

I know that this topic has already been posted a few times. But I want to discuss it again. Tell me what you think or what you experienced.

So my question: How important is the follower count?

We know that humans are like sheeps. If I see someone with 100k followers, I will more likely follow/use/buy from him than from someone with 1k or 10k because all the others do.
Now let's say we will fake everything. Follower, likes, comments. So that you as a normal human being can't directly say if the followers on this account are real or not.

What do you think? Will it be beneficial to buy your way to 20/50/100k to convince people to buy something from you?

Personally if i saw a page with 100k followers but little to no engagement it would actually turn me off, i would most of the time decide to not follow the page or trust it.
 
well i guess that when i see a account with lots of followers lots of likes and lots of comments. for sure i will look closer to the product becuase lots off people like it so with that in mind i think you actually can trick people in buying your stuff by having fake followers
 
Fake does good when you want to speed up the process, most people will rather follow a bigger account. Example :
300k followers gets 10k likes vs 50k followers gets 10k likes, sure the 50k follower has much better engagement but most people will follow the bigger account.

I'm not saying buy 100k followers right off, but 10k or so followers would give you a much better start advantage than starting from 0, just make sure to get likes also so it doesn't seem 100% fake.
 
Relying on my experience I can say there's also a difference in how many users you are following.

Account with 10k followers and 6k followings vs account with 6k followers and 100 followings
 
I agree with what was said above - buying followers is a great way to kickstart the process of getting real followers. At the end of the day getting real followers (through white hat-ish methods) is the way you will ultimately land engagement and potentially customers down the line.
 
I'm doing it, it's going well so I absolutely believe in it. Buying fake is a good way to kick start your account. Buy 10k follower and run the account using mp or fl.
 
It depends on the engagement of the users. If you buy followers, make sure to buy likes, comments and shares for your posts as well. Otherwise you will likely run in to a site with 100k zombies and nothing happens at all..
 
Yes, more followers is better (for number of reasons). But, all social networking sites have rules in place that prohibit this and some are taking drastic actions to enforce this. Conclusion: don't complain when your account gets shut down because you bought fake followers/likes/whatever.
 
You know you're doing things that breach the toc right? So you never expected your account got flagged? Get real. Everything come with risk especially if you're doing it blackhat way.

Zombie? Don't care. That's is why the need of mp or fl. That tools will provide with real follower. As human behave like a sheep flocking towards the large group, fake follower help creating the large illusion. But if the follower come with like and comment, it is much much better.
 
I don't think fake likes and followers can take you long. First of all you will not get the customers easily and if anyhow you manage to get few clients then counts of likes and followers will not play any role in retaining your clients but it will be your services that will retain your clients so focus on your services and products.
 
Have you ever thought why there are so many seller selling fake follower, or youtube view, facebook likes and so on? The answer is simple since there are demand for it. Why people are buying this type of shit?

Duh. People are not dumb. People bought this fake mass follow or likers as a jump start of their account. If you grow it organically, it will take a long time, a good fund and need a good strategy in content creation and distribution but not many have that.

So, using once of the most popular misconception in the history of human, popularity is authority, people bought this kind of fake follower. Once you get the popularity, go get the real one.
 
Social proof works, everyone knows that. But when you boost your account with fake likes and followers you essentially kill your account. You will lose hashtag visibility and be ghosted out among your own followers. It is very hard to fix an account after that. It didn't use to be like that. Correct me if I'm wrong.
 
Lol at fakes discussion again. Go ahead and kill your account. Once flagged, the chance on reviving it is minimal.

Better to spend a bit more on growth plans and get REAL followers who are genuinely interested in your page.
 
The more the followers, the merrier.

No matter what niche you're looking for, any person would prefer an account with a larger following than an account with 200-500 followers. But what people miss out is that the number of likes and comments on their pictures matter as well. Someone with a 100k followers account and 1000 likes on their pictures doesn't look right.

So, make sure when you purchase the followers, you also do something to increase the number of likes and comments on your pictures.
