My wife and I decided to give internet marketing a try a few months ago. We have gone on over tons of materials and now have a pretty good idea how to keyword search, build webpages, place content....yada yada yada. The one area we are still struggling with and is a constant source for our disagreements is how to drive traffic to our sites.
I am in the opinion that I would like to create sites that are white hat as well as try a variety of black hat models as well. She wants to create her site as clean as possible and do things the correct way. With that in mind we have set short and long term goals as far trying to make money by doing this. She is a little bummed out that for all our efforts we are making little to no money. I view these failures as learning lessons and I am eager to keep plugging away until I get it right.
I have been following the forum for about a month as a guest and felt it was time to join, post, comment and the like. I have fully embraced the dark side, because Star Wars taught me you can be a chancellor and a Sith. At the moment, I am keeping my niche sites "black hat" and my passionate sites "white hat blogs I do for fun" separate. My question is that I really like to start making money sooner using black hat, while continuing to build my other sites the right way "whatever the heck that means" for the long term. I guess the question I am asking is from your experiences what are some things I can try to start making money within days rather than months. I don't mind getting my hands dirty to achieve do this, because I have truly embraced the dark side.
