Immediate result of a backlink?

I ran into a very weird situation. Yesterday I published an article on of my blogs, which is linking to one of my other money sites. Two hours later I noticed how this money site start to jump from #40 to the top 5 for the main keyword. I thought its just coincidence, because I never saw any results so fast when doing link building.

So I did the same today again. Same blog (no PBN), new article linking out to another money site. Guess what? After 30 minutes the website jumped for the main kw from #50 (where it has been for one month) to the Top 10.

Just a normal handwritten article, no backlinks sent to it or anything like that. Nothing special.

Anyone ever experienced such a fast result? I don't even think this new article is indexed yet, but it also makes me think this is absolutely no coincidence.

also, if you want to test out the power of your pbn, do this: figure out a non-spam niche, go to google result on page 5+
pick a page that you have a feeling that is not in blackhat activities
create a backlink to it and check the result over the next few days

I had similar experience with a few months old content, the effects does seem to only work on older content types though

I don't think this is really from the backlink, unless the keyword is insanely low competition and very long tail. I think more likely you are either searching incorrectly, or it's a coincidence.
