Images bookmarking question

I have some non-adult and adult galleries. Anyone tried to promote images through bookmarking? Is it working?

i've bookmarked images in the past, but don't expect mass traffic from bookmarking alone. chances are, you won't get additional bookmarks by others unless the image is extremely funny, viral, etc

it gets a link, index in google, and maybe a few hits. i haven't had more success then that with just bookmarking.

can i promote images the same like articles? won't get banned from the social networks if i do mass bookmarking? i mean they all accept images bookmarking? should i expect the same traffic like i was bookmarking articles? there are special bookmarking social networks or they all have categories for images?

but don't know if they allow adult related images, try in hxxp://deviantart.com. They have adult images section there.

There are also scuttle/pligg adult bookmarking.

Don't know about the traffic, but just give it a try.
