If I use some images from google images to make videos, can I get troubles for copyright problems?

Yes, if the original owner catches you they can DMCA your or even sue you in a very extreme case. Most of the time you'll just get asked to take it down.

If you're uploading the vids to youtube then copyright claims are grounds to get a vid taken down or an account banned if you get repeated complaints.

I wouldn't worry about it too much though, especially if you use a variety of sources for your images (ie. don't just use images all from the same site).

Autumn is right on the money. Usually not a big deal... you'll be asked to take them down/stop using them. Serial abuse will lead to bigger issues.

If you're concerned about it, are you aware of the Google image usage rights filter? Under "Advanced Image Search" check out the drop-down box labeled "Usage Rights." You can search for images that are available for re-use, commercial use, etc. It will affect your search results (sometimes dramatically), but you can play a little looser with the images returned.

Btw, same thing works for content searches in G if you're ever looking for PD/open source content for a page.

just make sure you do not use anything that is from istockphoto or similar or they will come after you with a big stick and hit you hard if they can and as long as you do not use anything that obviously belongs to someone else you will be ok.

Try using Creative Commons images, public domain images, and searching for free and royalty free images on line. Also if you alter a downloaded image by changing clothes colors, adding an additional item or two, etc (requires some photoshop smarts) it is no longer the original pic. Today, using other peoples content...photos, videos, articles, graphics...require some creativity. The cut, paste, and re-use days of any online content, you find, is coming to an end.
