I'm trying to find a study on the correlation between ranking in Google Images and the regular organic SERPs. Can someone explain or point me to an article about this?
What is happening is my website's product image is always ranking #1-#3 in the image carousel. But my organic listing(homepage[most authority]) is ranking on the middle of the 2nd page. Almost a year ago, the homepage was ranking on the first page on position 1-3. Now its the image that ranks instead of the organic listing.
So for example: "KEYWORD"
mysite.com/category/ image shows up #1-3
mysite.com organic listing shows up #14-20
