I have a question about a RSS feed that has images, such as Google newsreader. If we post the image from the RSS feed, can this get us in any type of situation, such with Getty images? I know people in the past, that issues with posting images to their blog, but I didn't know if this was another type of the situation. Thank you so much for the feedback.

it could do as getty haven't given " you " permission, they have given permission to the original source. I would import the rss feed as a draft, then add and optimize your own image from sites like pixabay. That way not only are you covered but you get the benefit of the photo. i get traffic from google images from images that i get from pixabay and optimize.
Just saying that personally i wouldn't do it as Getty are pretty up on that sort of thing

rss feed can never have copyright
dont worry
" The most common types of copyright infringement on the web are images being used on web sites other than the owners. It doesn't matter if you copy the image to your web server or point to it on their web server. If you use an image on your web site that you didn't create, you must get permission from the owner. It is also common for the text, HTML, and script elements of a page to be taken and reused. If you have not gotten permission, you have violated the owner's copyright. "

just googe rss copyright as I cant post links here

well you are still using an image that is not your to use, so you are in breach of copyright

If the image is not yours, and its not free, you will definitely have an issue.

There are free images and have pictures and pictures that are sold cheaply.
