Image hosting [free/paid]

Hello,

I am just about to launch my eBay/Amazon drop shipping venture and need a place to host my pics. Ideally I could use Amazon S3 as I am on their free tier. But considering the images are taken from Amazon themselves, i'm not sure it's a good idea.

Is there any other decent services like S3 where I can host images and bulk upload? What about the likes of photobucket etc? How do these fare for eBay pic hosting?

On a side note: Am I right not to host the images on AWS servers? I was wondering if I rename them and also manipulate them slightly to change the hash then they may go undetected. What do people think?

Yea they all look like a mega pain in the ass to be honest. They have a complicated setup around commercial activity etc. The rate limits on API seem rather low also. I would prefer not limits but to pay by GB used and bandwidth used.

I simply want somewhere I can upload files and access by link.

I guess it's not specifically an image host I am looking for, but a file host.

Just get some cheap hosting and set up a domain for yourself. You can upload via FTP or set up a simple upload script.

No that's too much hassle cause I need to sys admin that.

I've just check out Azure Blog storage and it's perfect, just like S3, but it's not.
 
You can use amazon hosting itself it will not create any problem. I think they won't apply copy right issue for images and all. And also you have mentioned that you will have slight modification in the content as well so it will not be an issue for your end.

Cool, well I just implemented my downloader and skipped the file manipulation part. I will implement now and run with S3 for the moment.

When I say modification in content, it won't be anything visible in the image, but just some byte manipulation to change the hash, in case they have auto algorithms.
 
Hi mate! What do you think about TinyPic? I am using it and getting good outcomes through it. On the other hand Flickr and Image Shack would also be better alternatives.
 
Take a look at HostingSource.com hosting deals. The techs contact me checking to see if I have any issues just to be on the safe side.

just buy a cheap hosting with softaculous. you can setup an image hosting site just a few clicks.
and then start upload your images
