I was using a backlink analyzer, and I went to the site to see the link, and it ended up being an image leecher loading my website pics for his forum signature. Does this help my SERPS or just waste my bandwidth?

I'm thinking of finding a way to load goatse into his signature since he is leeching to get him banned if this doesn't benefit me:eek:

Good question. The image is not a link to your website, but you still have the reference to your website in the image ref. I don't know if the img being drawn from a different websites helps you or not. I would think not but am not sure about this. Looking forward to hearing others opinions on this.

It has a bit effect on your site but it is better if the site is seen when clicking the signature. There are lots of competitors and people will never know where is the images coming from unless you establish it.

If it is an active forum, you can always change the picture and advertise from there. :)

If you use vbulletin then use vbseo so that you can remove the backlinks.
