image backlinks do they matter?

So checking my backlink profile i can see a lot of websites that have linked to my images
they seem quite spammy websites anyway but they are links 1000s of backlinks on my images

I've changed my hosting and moved the directory where my images are
Do you think I should be concerned that I will loose all of those spammy image links?
The page itsself is the same just the folder where it is saved is different
e.g wordpress media folder is now in the root instead of /blog

or is it worth uploading the media folder here as well
(double media folders) so the backlinks can still find the images?

it has a page authority store of 72 it looks like a crap site no one will visit except google spiders
its backlinked my image file though

I dont think so. Image links are not exactly a backlink.

butif the image link comes up in the semrush report surely it is a back link ?

Majestic gives full weight to image backlinks, while interestingly ahrefs doesn't give them much value at all. But as we only care about Google it would make a great case study if someone built a pbn with image links.

This seems to happen to every site I start haha.

I wouldn't worry. No link has ever hurt me unless my site was blasted with 100% exact match anchors.

There is a conflict between those image backlinks on Ahrefs, majestic etc., But you can build some image links for diversity.
